This year's RLDC will be hosted in the greater Los Angeles area, driving distance from many Region II student chapters. Students representing each chapter will be members who have shown interest in leadership positions within the organization but do not have much experience, and are looking to develop leadership skills. While at the conference, attendees will go through rigorous case study assignments aimed at improving our student chapters, as well as a series of leadership development workshops. This year we plan to incorporate an Etiquette Lunch, where attendees will be taught the appropriate etiquette at banquet style lunches or dinners. The students can display what they learned at the Gala Banquet. Also, the future leaders of Region II SHPE student chapters will have the opportunity to network with professional attendees and company representatives.

RLDC Region 2 2009 is designed for those SHPE members that are interested in being leaders of their respective chapters in the upcoming year. The theme for the conference is "Engineering Tomorrow's Leaders", which is exactly what we want to do. This conference will give new members the incentive and motivation to run for an officer position, while giving them the first tools to become a successful Leader. They will learn from the different workshops and activities how to run a chapter and take that knowledge back to their respective chapters.

• Friday: Casual.
• Saturday: Business Professional; Gala Banquet on Saturday Night: Business Professional to Formal.
• Sunday: Casual.
• Bring Laptop: Needed for case studies. At least one per group.

• Limit of 4 members per Chapter, if you want to register more than 4 members, email us to rldc02region2@gmail.com ASAP, wait list is first come first serve! Limit is now lifted, this means you should send at least 4 members!
• Why would you want to send more members?
       - More of your members participating means better leadership for the future of your chapter.
       - New members will gain valuable knowledge about SHPE and take back that knowledge to their respective chapters.
       - More networking with other SHPE members and professionals
       - ...Lastly, you may want to register an even number of males and females so that it's easier to place them in rooms with members from their own chapter.
